My art is often inspired by the natural world. Working full time as an Environmental Educator, I find a great deal of inspiration in my day-to-day life! Although I love working with clay, I also enjoy creating art with graphite, acrylics, watercolor, and more.
When I’m not working on a new piece of artwork, I spend my time reading, hiking, backpacking, and spending time with my friends, family, and dog, Coco.
My favorite tree, the Catalpa, is part of the Bignoniaceae family. It has huge heart-shaped leaves, long hanging beanstalks, and large snowy white flowers. The Catalpa tree has been a dear friend to me since childhood and is the keeper of many fond memories. Growing up, I spent much of my time playing with my pets and 7 siblings beneath the Catalpa in our front yard, earning it a special place in my heart.
